Hiring a car would be advisable.
The nearest shops are in the nearby village of Odiaxere where there is a general store, newsagent, pharmacy and several small cafes and restaurants. Larger supermarkets and, restaurants and other shops can be found in Lagos and Portimao, each of which is within 10 minutes drive of the house.

Whilst UK residents should carry their EH1C cards with their to make use of the EU wide reciprocal medical agreement, visitors would be well advised to arrange additional cover to cover for theft, loss of baggage, cancellation in case of illness and accident or sickness during your stay.
